Many people spend a huge amount of time and money on their facial skincare routines, but don’t put this same dedication into caring for the skin on their body. I know this to be true because I’m personally guilty of it. The skin on my face is extravagantly pampered twice a day yet my body is often treated as an afterthought.
Of course, I want to glow from head to toe, which is why I decided that it was time for a change. I needed some body care products that would not only give the skin on my body everything that it requires but would also make my body care routine enjoyable enough to follow every day.
Enter Introstem. I already use a couple of the brand’s facial skincare products, so it only made sense to give their Body Collection a try too. I ended up splashing out on all three products from this collection – read on to find out what I thought of them!
The Stem Cell Exfoliating Scrub
Exfoliation is a key part of caring for your skin, whether this may be the skin on your face or your body. I’ve used various body scrubs in the past and they’ve always been just average. I have to admit that I didn’t have high hopes for Introstem’s version but the raving reviews persuaded me to give it a try.
In the end, I was glad that I was so easily convinced! The Introstem Stem Cell Exfoliating Scrub is a salt scrub, with salt being one of the best ingredients for physical exfoliation due to how it’s packed with minerals that soothe the feeling of inflammation in the skin.
Unlike the other salt scrubs that I’ve used in the past, this one doesn’t leave my skin feeling rubbed raw. Instead, possibly thanks to the inclusion of vitamin E in this formula, my skin always feels amazingly soft and moisturized once I’ve used it. It does a fantastic job of exfoliating my skin, leaving it looking beautifully smooth and with an enhanced glow.
The Stem Cell Body Butter
The Introstem Body Collection features two moisturizers, one of which is the Stem Cell Body Butter. Again, I’ve used different body butters in the past. They’re meant to be great for dry skin, which I have, but I don’t usually like them because of how overly greasy they feel.
Once again, Introstem manages to differentiate itself with a body butter that boasts the perfect consistency. It’s thick, but it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. Instead, it glides onto my skin easily and soaks in pretty quickly.
I have to admit that on some areas of my body, I don’t notice much of a difference after using this body butter compared to other body moisturizers. However, the drier patches on my body absolutely love this product. My knees and elbows, for example, tend to get particularly dry, to the point where other moisturizers don’t make any long-term difference. The Stem Cell Body Butter is very different. I slather a thick layer onto my dry spots after showering in the morning and, by the end of the day, they still feel really soft and supple. Without this body butter, those areas usually feel super-dry and rough by the end of the day, attesting to the moisturizing power that this product offers!
The Stem Cell Hand & Body Cream
The second moisturizer in the Introstem Body Collection is the Stem Cell Hand & Body Cream. Compared to the body butter, this is a much lighter cream. Rather than being formulated with rich plant oils, it contains goat milk to moisturize and quench the skin.
When it comes to the troublesome dry patches that I mentioned earlier, this cream doesn’t do much, unless I apply several layers. It isn’t rich enough to give these areas what they need. However, on the rest of my body, it’s incredible. It leaves my skin feeling so silky and has a wonderful subtle scent that I love.
With that said, I usually use this cream on my hands more often than I apply it to my body. It’s a brilliant hand cream because of how it absorbs so quickly. It doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy in the slightest. In fact, I applied some a few minutes ago and I’m still able to type without having my fingers sliding all over the keyboard in the way that thicker hand creams cause it to!
